The Wooden Foundation

The Wooden Foundation
A recommendation for our friends in the Tar Heel state. From the Wooden Foundation Mission Statement:

The non-profit Wooden Foundation was formed to address the largely unmet need to better equip our young adults with real world job hunting advice as well as other helpful guidance for transitioning from school to the working world. (read the entire Mission Statement)

Randy Wooden, a member of the Wooden Foundation Board of Directors, has been a guest on The Dark Side, one of the Free World Radio Network broadcasts.

Thank you for bringing my foundation to the attention of your readers.

As many hiring officials would tell you, today's high school and college grads are too often unprepared to effectively present themselves in the real world job market.

Schools do attempt, often with mixed results, to prepare students. The realities are that kids often don't listen to their administrators or their parents.

My organization is set up to bring a third party, real world job hunting perspective to our youth at no cost to the students or the schools. We do seek corporate sponsorship to fund what had been extensive volunteer work on my part.
